Our Story
Jack & Wendy were born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. They've been married 19 years and have two kids. Jack is an avid golfer with a single-digit handicap. Wendy golfs with a cocktail and her girlfriends. Besides being a passionate player, Jack has seen golf from many different angles over the past two decades. He's owned a retail golf shop, owned and managed a driving range and organized a Seattle after-work golf league that's still going strong after 13 years.
Jack came up with the idea for an online golf tour about ten years ago. He loved playing crack-of-dawn golf all by himself, alone with the course, practicing with two or three balls per hole and finishing a round in under three hours. What was missing was the fun of competing against other golfers. He thought there had to be a way for the average player to enjoy competitive golf without having to sacrifice five or six hours to play in a local tournament.
The internet presented the perfect arena for golfers of all skill levels and on any course to compare rounds and experience the competition and camaraderie that come with matching your best golf against others who share a love for the game. Thus, CityGolfTour was born.
